We are finally all better!

Both the kids have sick. They got really bad colds, which they gave to me and Mike. We both them got TERRIBLE sinus infections which lasted about 10 days. Mike had to go on antibiotics and it finally better. Mine went away on its own, but let me tell ya...NOT being able to take sinus medication is NOT fun! (because I'm nursing Abby) I was miserable, with 2 miserable kids to take care of during the day and a miserable husband in the evening! Im glad that is over!!! I just hope we can make it until spring without getting sick again!

Mike is in Wichita at Cessna this week for more training for work. So Im here at home, staying out of the cold. We did get our bedroom painted, so yesterday I cleaned all day and tried to get our house back in order.

Noah is doing good. We have been working on saying please and thank you lately. He still doesn't talk very much, but he will TRY and say it so thats better then nothing! I will be happy when he can say more and tell me what he wants/needs rather then just grunting or crying!

Abby is 5 months now...shes starting to sit on her own, and has started eating a little cereal. Some days she loves it and other days...not so much. Shes just ALWAYS hungry!

I dont have any new pictures this time since Mike has my laptop with him, and they are all on there! Maybe next time!

Going to try this again....

I havent posted anything in a long time on here! Im thinking of starting up again....even tho I dont think anyone reads this blog anymore. :P

Noah is 2 now. Hes growing like a weed, and I cannot believe how big hes getting! Hes around 25lbs and 34inches tall! Hes starting to talk (he has about 8 words or so he can kinda say) and hes truly turning into a 2 year old!

Abigail Noelle was born Aug. 24th at 37 weeks via c-section. She was 8lbs 1oz, and had some pretty, auburn hair which has now mostly fallen out. She is healthy and growing and had no problems at all! She will be 5 months this month and is doing great! Noah loves his little sister and gives her hugs and kisses and has to show her off to everyone!

Noah goes to his cardiologist next month for his annual checkup. He had to get a chest x-ray done last week, which was TERRIBLE. They had to put him in this thing that looked like a torture device. Of course he screamed the whole time. He was so scared! Hopefully next year he will be old enough to just stand there and get it done.

Other then all that, there isnt anything too exciting going on. We have all been sick with a terrible cold. The kids both have a cough that just wont go away. We are also in the process of re-doing our bedroom which has turned into a HUGE project when it was supposed to just be painting.

Hmmm...I might have to change the name of this blog from Chasing Noah to something else....since its more then just Noah now!!!! :)

And of course....pics!

So...its been a while!!!

Its been over a year since we have updated this blog. I dont know where the time went! I guess life just got crazy! :)

Noah is almost 19 months now...weighs a good 23lbs...hes walking, playing, trying to talk (a little)...and the latest development is that hes going to be a big brother! We are expecting a little girl, who we will name Abigail Noelle, in September. Noah is a bit young to have any idea of this upcoming event, but boy, will he be surprised! :P

Here is a pic of Abby

And a couple of Noah! I need to take some newer pictures...

He Sure is Fussy....Oh, That's Why...

Noah has been extremely fussy today, and we couldn’t figure out why until his momma noticed a little white spot on his lower gum. Apparently, our little boy is already teething. I’ve only had a son for a year (including the time he was in my wife’s womb), and I already feel like he’s almost grown up.

He's Huge!

Noah is now 23.75” long and 10lbs, 1oz. He’s growing extremely well, and has had no complications from his surgery. Noah regularly interacts with us, and we can play with him and make him smile and giggle. He routinely sleeps six hours straight at night.

Lord-willing, RSV season will end soon, and we will be able to start taking Noah out in public. We certainly miss church.

Please continue to pray for Noah’s protection from sickness, as his immune system is still weaker than a normal baby’s. However, we praise God for the protection He has already provided, as Noah has been almost completely healthy so far.

Just to help illustrate how much our Miracle Baby has grown; here is a picture of him at three weeks when we brought him home from the hospital, and a picture of him that Sarah took a couple of weeks ago:

And a few more of our favorite pictures:

Noah Smiles!

In the past few days, Noah has started to really interact with us. When we play with him, he's actually beginning to smile and his favorite game is to stick his tongue out in response to his mother or I doing the same.

He's 7lbs, 2oz, now and growing steadily. As you'll see from the following pictures, Noah has put on some baby fat and is becoming a healthy little boy.

Please continue to pray for his protection from sickness this season, particularly RSV, as his immune system is still quite weak.

Because of the short duration of the smiles, I’m afraid the picture came out blurry in our rush to capture it:
